JAKARTA - Arsenal announced the arrival of a sharp Swedish striker, Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP.
"We are proud to announce that Swedish national team striker Viktor Gyokeres has signed a long-term contract," Arsenal said in a statement quoting Antara.
Based on a report by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal paid 63.5 million euros (around Rp1.13 trillion) as an initial fee, plus 10 million euros (around Rp178 billion) in bonuses. The player is also reportedly signed a contract until 2030.

President Sporting, Frederico Varandas, even called the action "extortion". However, Gyokeres agents eventually reduced their commission to expedite the deal, allowing this transfer to be achieved.
Gyokeres, who scored 97 goals in 102 appearances for Sporting since joining from Coventry City in 2023, is expected to be the solution for Arsenal's front line.
