DKI Jakarta Governor Inaugurates New Jersey Persija: This Is A Symbol Of Enthusiasm

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung inaugurated a new jersey for Persija Jakarta (doc. Antara).

JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, said that the launch of Persija Jakarta's new jersey was not only the introduction of new costumes, but a symbol of enthusiasm for the 2025/2026 competition season.

"This launch is not just an introduction to new costumes, but a symbol of Persija's enthusiasm, update, and readiness to compete in the Super League next season," said Pramono Anung at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Ancol, North Jakarta, Saturday, July 26, 2025.

He also mentioned that the DKI Provincial Government provides full professional support. Therefore, there are four BUMDs (Regional Owned Enterprises) that have collaborated and one more sponsor will follow.

"All the sponsorship logos are emblazoned on the new jersey, including Transjakarta, MRT, Bank Jakarta, and PAM Jaya," said Pramono Anung.

He said the solid collaboration between clubs, the government, and the community had made Persija an icon of the city, as well as an attraction in the development of sports tourism.

"This is in line with the spirit of Jakarta Synergizing and entering the 100th age of Persija in 2028 to achieve the highest achievement on the national football stage," said Pramono Anung.

He also invited all Persija supporters, namely Jakmania, to continue to provide full support to Persija in order to win every match.

"For the 2025/2026 season, I pray that Persija can become a champion. Hopefully this will be a new symbol for Jakarta, that the Government provides full support."

"Today alone, there have been five signings of cooperation with BUMD to support all Persija operations," said Pramono Anung.

Persija has won the Indonesian League 11 times, with details of nine times the United era, once the Indonesian League era, and once the League 1 era. The last time Persija won the league was in 2018.
