Enemy In Handling Marc Marquez In MotoGP 2025

JAKARTA Marc Marquez estimates that his younger brother Alex Marquez will become an enemy in the blanket for the 2025 MotoGP world title race.

Both names have so far competed heavily on track and controlled the top two places in the drivers' standings. Marquez sits in the top position with 123 points, followed by his younger brother with a difference of 17 points in second place.

The competition between the brothers took place in the midst of the dim of Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin who were still injured and lost the chance to defend their title.

"I am very aware that at the end of the season I may be competing for the title against it," said Marc Marquez as quoted by Crash.

Marc and Alex in 2024 are both playing for Gresini Racing. Marc Marquez then moved to the Ducati Lenovo Team and an impressive start to the season made him the favorite to win the world title this year.

Even though they are now different teams, both of them are using Ducati motorbikes. However, Alex uses a one-year-old Desmodedici GP24.

Marc Marquez said that spending a year in Gresini helped him restore confidence and became the basis for Alex's surge in performance.

"I think last year he really helped because we shared a team, because we supported each other in the same garage, working the same way," said the six-time MotoGP world champion.

This season's race will next take place on April 25-27, 2025 at the Jerez Circuit, Spain. This is the fifth series in the 2025 season racing calendar.

Marc Marquez has won the main race three times from the previous four series. Meanwhile, Alex took the second podium three times in a row since Thailand's first series.
