MEDAN - A police officer at the Medan Timur Police, Second Police Inspector Adjutant Eko, was hacked by thugs. The incident occurred in the Kalpataru Indah housing complex, Setia Budi Street, Medan Helvetia District, Medan City, North Sumatra (North Sumatra).

Medan Deputy Chief of Police, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Irsan Sinuhaji, said the problem stemmed from cooperation in the dump truck rental business between Edi Susanto and his colleagues with the initials H and D.

During the work process, it turned out that there were disagreements between the two parties. Then, H and D as well as two of his colleagues made a bill to Edi's house to discuss the distribution of the results.

"During the billing process there was poor communication. Then there was a commotion between Edi and H and D," said Grand Commissioner Adjutant Irsan, Monday, November 1.

Seeing the situation, H and D left the house. A few hours later, H and D came back to Edi's house with their friends again by car and motorbike.

"When he arrived at the location, it turned out that Edi was not at home. At that time, Edi was with Second Police Inspector Adjutant Eko," he said.

Furthermore, Edi's wife reported that a group of people had vandalized her house. After receiving the news, Edi and Eko went to the house.

Arriving near the house, Edi saw many people. It turned out that, among the several people who did the damage, there were those who recognized Edi.

Knowing this, Second Police Inspector Adjutant Eko asked Edi to immediately go save himself. Second Police Inspector Adjutant Eko who was at the location immediately became the target of the masses. There was persecution against Second Police Inspector Adjutant Eko. Edi's vehicle was also the target of the mob's fury.

"In this case, we have known the name of the perpetrator and are currently pursuing them. For the perpetrator, we suspect Article 170 Jo 351 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 12 years in prison," said the Deputy Chief of the Medan Police.
