Aceh Police Unravel The Roles Of 3 Suspected TNI Soldier Shooters In Pidie, The Motive Is Robbery

JAKARTA - The Pidie Resort Police (Polres) and the Aceh Regional Police arrested three suspected shooters that resulted in the death of a TNI member with the rank of captain.

The Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Police, Grand Commissioner Pol Winardy, in Banda Aceh, Sunday, said the perpetrator was arrested earlier. The arrest of the perpetrators was led by the Pidie Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Padli, supported by the Aceh Police Military Police.

"The three suspects have the initials D (43), F (42), and M. The three perpetrators have their own roles. The motive for the shooting was robbery," said Grand Commissioner P Winardy, Sunday, October 31.

The results of the examination, said Grand Commissioner Pol Winardy, perpetrator D worked as a farmer whose role was to provide firearms. Perpetrator F works as a handyman and is the executor.

"Meanwhile, M works as an entrepreneur and is suspected of planning a meeting. Perpetrator M knows the victim on a daily basis. In this incident, the victim's money was taken in tens of millions of rupiah," said Grand Commissioner Winardy, quoted from Antara.

Grand Commissioner Winardy said the shooting started when perpetrator M asked the victim to meet. At the meeting place, two other perpetrators were waiting for the shooting and robbery to occur.

"The robbery was planned by the perpetrators the day before the execution in the chili garden belonging to perpetrator D. Currently, the perpetrators are being detained at the Pidie Police for further investigation," said Grand Commissioner Pol Winardy.

TNI member Captain Inf Abdul Majid (53) who was shot dead in Pidie was buried in front of the funeral home, in the Beurawe area, Kuta Alam District, Banda Aceh City, militarily. The victim, who is a member of the TNI/Dantim BAIS Pidie with the rank of captain, was shot on Thursday, October 28 at around 17.15 western Indonesia time.

Meanwhile, the funeral procession for the deceased was carried out with a military ceremony and witnessed by local residents. The deceased was last at home together on Sunday, October 24, 2021, and then returned to duty in Pidie. The deceased left a wife and three sons.
