Flying To Italy, Great Britain And The United Arab Emirates, Jokowi: Asking For Prayers From All Indonesian People

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asks for prayers from all Indonesian people for his trip to three countries, namely Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates to attend the G20 Summit and bilateral visits.

This was conveyed by the President in his upload on the Instagram account @jokowi quoted in Jakarta, Friday, October 29.

"Please pray for all the people of Indonesia, hopefully, this trip will be smooth and the results will be good for our country. God willing, I will arrive in Indonesia on November 5 morning", the President wrote on his Instagram account @jokowi, Friday.

The President said that starting his trip, he will visit Rome, Italy to attend and speak at the G20 Summit on October 30-31, 2021.

At the end of the summit, Indonesia will receive the chairmanship of the G20 from Italy for the period December 1, 2021- November 30, 2022. The President conveyed this is an honor for Indonesia and at the same time a big responsibility that must be carried out properly.

From Rome, Heads of State will travel to Glasgow, Scotland to attend the COP26 World Leaders Summit on November 1-2, 2021.

"A few days ago British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who will directly chair this Summit, also called me to discuss the preparations for COP26 which will be attended by around 120 heads of state and heads of government", said President Jokowi.

Furthermore, the President will visit the United Arab Emirates on November 3-4 as a bilateral visit to strengthen cooperation, especially in the fields of trade and investment. This was reported by Antara.
