Regarding Upload On Facebook, KPK Moves Quickly To Search The Detention Room Of Andi Putra Regent Of Kuansing

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the detention room of the Regent of Kuansing (Kuantan Singingi), Riau, Andi Putra (AP) regarding the upload on his Facebook account under the name "Andi Putra Kuansing".

"In response to the information circulating about posts on the social media accounts of KPK detainees on behalf of the Kuansing Regent AP, we convey that the KPK detention officers, Saturday (10/23), immediately searched the detention room in question and did not find any communication equipment," said Acting KPK Spokesperson Ali Fikri in his statement in Jakarta, Monday.

The KPK has detained Andi Putra at the KPK Detention Center at the KPK Red and White Building after being named a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to the extension of the Palm Oil Cultivation Right (HGU) permit in Kuansing Regency.

Ali said the suspect Andi Putra stated in his statement that he was not the one who wrote the status message on the social media. "KPK ensures that all detainees are prohibited from bringing or using electronic equipment, including communication tools, into the detention center as regulated by the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 2013," he said.

In addition, he said, the security of the KPK Detention Center was guarded by officers 24 hours a day and monitored through various surveillance cameras.

The KPK also examines in detail and in layers every detainee who will enter the KPK Detention Center. "Therefore, regarding the posting on the social media account of the KPK detainee, it is possible that it was done by someone else," said Ali.

Case

The KPK has named Andi Putra and the General Manager of PT Adimulia Agrolestari (AA) Sudarso (SDR) as suspects.

In the construction of the case, the KPK explained that in order to continue the business activities of PT Adimulia Agrolestari, which is applying for an extension of the HGU which starts in 2019 and will end in 2024, one of the requirements to extend the HGU again is to build a partnership garden of at least 20 percent of the proposed HGU.

The location of the required 20 percent partnership garden owned by PT Adimulia Agrolestari is located in Kampar Regency, Riau, which should be in Kuansing Regency.

In order to fulfill these requirements, Sudarso then submitted a letter of application to Andi Putra and asked PT Adimulia Agrolestari's partnership plantation in Kampar to be approved as a partnership garden.

Next, Sudarso and Andi Putra met. Andi Putra said that the habit of arranging approval letters and statements of no objection to 20 percent of the Prima Member Cooperative Credit (KKPA) for the extension of the HGU which should be built in Kuansing Regency requires a minimum of Rp2 billion.

As a sign of agreement, in September 2021, Sudarso allegedly gave Andi Putra the first gift of Rp500 million. Furthermore, in October 2021, Sudarso is suspected of again handing over Rp200 million of money to Andi Putra.

For his actions, Sudarso as the giver is suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 1999. 2001.

Meanwhile, Andi Putra is suspected of violating Article 12 letter (a) or Article 12 letter (b) or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001.
