PALU - The Head of the Regional Police (Kapolda) of Central Sulawesi, Inspector General Rudy Sufahriadi, apologized to all the people of Central Sulawesi, regarding the immoral case that ensnared his members.

The police chief's statement followed an alleged immoral act by his member, the former head of the district police in Parigi Moutong (Parimo), with the initials Iptu IDGN.

"As the Central Sulawesi Police Chief, I apologize to the public because there are still members who violate discipline," said Rudy in Palu, reported by Antara, Sunday, October 24.

Rudy emphasized that in accordance with the instructions of the National Police Chief to take action and give strict punishments to members of the National Police who made mistakes or other violations of the law.

"In accordance with the instructions of the National Police Chief, we must not hesitate to take action and give punishment," said Rudy.

Rudy said, the provision of legal sanctions also applies to all members who are proven to have made mistakes or violated other laws.

"We will firmly deal with members who are proven wrong," he said.

"We have come to the victim's house to make sure that I will professionally deal with the wrong members," he added. Previously, a trial of the code of ethics for the police chief in Parigi Moutong Regency who was suspected of committing immoral acts was held on Saturday (23/10). From the results of the trial, the police chief with the rank of Iptu was declared to have violated ethics and was recommended for dishonorable dismissal or dismissal.

The police chief with the initials IDGN has been proven to have committed the acts as referred to in article 13 and article 14 paragraph (1) letter b of Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No.1 of 2003 concerning the Dismissal of members of the National Police. And article 7 paragraph (1) letter b and article 11 letter c of the National Police Chief Regulation No. 14 of 2011 concerning the Police Professional Code of Ethics.

However, from the decision recommending dismissal, Iptu IGDN will appeal.

"Against the PTDH recommendation decision, Iptu IDGN declared an appeal," explained the Central Sulawesi Police Chief.

Prior to the ethical trial decision, the former Iptu IDGN police chief had been relieved of his duties since October 15, 2021 and was replaced with a temporary official.

Iptu IDGN was involved in an immoral case with a teenage girl with the initials S who lives in Parimo Regency.

IDGN allegedly took advantage of his position and promised S that he would release his father who was caught in a criminal case of theft of livestock if he obeyed his wishes. Until the act was carried out, IDGN had not released S's father.
