JAKARTA - A snippet of Ustaz Syafiq Riza Basalamah's lecture has gone viral on social media, Twitter. This lecture was also uploaded by social media activist Ferdinand Hutahaean through his Twitter account, @FerdinandHaean3.

In a lecture themed 'wealth is a punishment for unbelievers,' the Ustaz said "Don't be surprised by their wealth. Don't be amazed. Why? Allah wants to punish them in the life of the world", said Syafiq.

Ferdinand then poked Jusuf Kalla for making a correlation between wealth and background of belief. According to the two vice presidents, Muslims still have not dominated the top list of the richest people in this republic.

"From an economic perspective, if there are 10 rich people, then the highest is 1 Muslim. But if 100 people are poor, at least 90 people are poor. So our economic situation is crippled", he said when participating in the Halal Bi Halal KAHMI event which was held virtually on Monday, June 14.

Well, according to Ferdinand JK, you should be happy with this lecture because it is the non-Muslims who will be punished.
