Good News From Yogyakarta, This Area Has Zero COVID-19 Deaths

JAKARTA - The Yogyakarta Special Region Government recorded zero (nil) patient deaths due to COVID-19 on Sunday, October 17, so the death toll was still recorded at 5,232 cases.

"There are zero additional death cases, so the total number of deaths remains at 5,232," said the DIY Regional Government Spokesperson for Handling COVID-19, Berty Murtiningsih in an official statement in Yogyakarta, quoted from Antara.

Berty said the number of cases of positive confirmed patients increased by 15 people, bringing it to 155,494 cases.

Based on the area of domicile, the 15 positive patients consisted of four cases from Yogyakarta City, two cases from Bantul Regency, one case from Kulon Progo, five cases from Sleman, and three cases from Gunung Kidul.

Referring to the case history, he said, it consisted of four cases of self-examination and 11 cases of case contact tracing results

Meanwhile, the number of patients who recovered from COVID-19 increased by 56, bringing the total to 149,677 people.

Based on the domicile area, the 56 recovered patients consisted of 21 cases from Yogyakarta City, 18 cases from Bantul Regency, five cases from Kulon Progo, eight cases from Gunung Kidul, and four cases from Sleman Regency.

Referring to data from referral hospitals, the total number of COVID-19 suspects in DIY was recorded at 87,077 people.

The total number of special critical isolation beds available in DIY is 183 units, currently, 19 units are used (BOR 10.38 percent), while the available non-critical beds are 1,463 units, 133 units have been used (BOR 9.09 percent).
