JAKARTA – Ria Fauziah, a woman who was strangled by her neighbors because she felt offended that her child's feet were said to be dirty, finally reported it to the police. Investigators from the Kalideres Police, West Jakarta Police, have followed up on Ria Fauziah's report and are conducting an investigation.

"(The report) is being followed up," said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kalideres Police, AKP Haris Sanjaya, confirmed on Saturday, October 15.

Previously, Ria Fauziah received unpleasant behavior from a man in the Kalideres area, West Jakarta.

The incident was known through a video that was widely circulated on social media. The video was first uploaded via Ria's Instagram account, @riafauziah03 on Thursday, October 14, 2021.

The video shows the victim being abused by the perpetrator. The perpetrator's actions were carried out in front of the victim's child who was still a toddler. The victim's child was even seen crying seeing the actions of the perpetrator.

Based on the information in the video, the perpetrator even threw the victim's pet cat that was nearby.

Not only that, the perpetrators also pounded the victim's shop window table. In the video description, the man was emotional because he did not accept when his son had to wash his feet before entering the victim's house.

"Perhaps the child's parents are not happy, I ordered the child to wash his feet before entering my house," said the video caption.
