BANDUNG - The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the West Java Police has repatriated as many as 79 people after being investigated for an illegal online loan (pinjol) case that was raided in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).

Deputy Director of the West Java Police Special Criminal Investigation AKBP Roland Ronaldy said the 79 people were sent home because they did not comply with the alleged article.

"So, of the 86 people we brought from Yogyakarta, after the inspection, we returned 79 to Yogyakarta with the Yogyakarta Regional Police who escorted them," said Roland in Bandung, West Java, Saturday, October 16.

Meanwhile, the remaining seven people are still in the West Java Police Ditreskrimsus Building for further investigation. The seven people have roles ranging from assistant managers, team leaders, HRD, and several debt collectors.

"This is just an examination, we are still exploring it, we have received information but it must be confirmed again," he said.

Previously, officers from the West Java Regional Police escorted around 80 people from DIY after raiding the office of an illegal loan application. The raid began after the victim made a report to the West Java Police.
