Citizenship Case Of Orient Regent Candidate, DKPP Dismisses 2 KPU Members Sabu Raijua From Their Positions

JAKARTA - The Election Organizing Honorary Council (DKPP) has imposed sanctions on the dismissal of two members of the KPU Sabu Raijua in the case decision number 165-PKE-DKPP/IX/2021.

Chairman of the Assembly, Alfitra Salamm, at the DKPP session in Jakarta, Wednesday stated that in amar case number 165-PKE-DKPP/IX/2021, DKPP imposed a stern warning and dismissal from the position of chairman to the Chairperson of the Sabu Regency KPU Raijua Kirenius Pajdi.

"Impressing a stern warning and dismissal from the position of chairman for the first contestant, Kirenius Pajdi as the Chair and concurrently member of the Sabu Raijua Regency KPU since this decision was read out," said Alfitra Salamm, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, October 13.

In the same case, DKPP also imposed a stern warning and dismissal from the position of division head to Sabu Regency KPU Member Raijua Sussana V Edon.

Meanwhile, the other three members of the Sabu Raijua Regency KPU who were contested in this case, namely Agustinus V Mone, Daud Pau, and Alpius P Saba, were each given a stern warning.

"Impressing a stern warning and dismissal from the position of head of the technical division of the implementation of teradu V, Susanna V Edon as a member of the KPU Sabu Raijua Regency since this decision was read out," said Alfitra.

To note, the five names above were reported by Erben KA Riwu Ratu. The chairman and four members of the Sabu Raijua Regency KPU were argued to be not thorough, dishonest, not careful and even negligent in carrying out their duties and authorities.

This happened during the verification process, so that the candidate for regent of Sabu Raijua Regency number 2, namely Orient Patriot Riwu Kore, who still had the status of a United States citizen, passed.
