PROBOLINGGO - Four victim witnesses related to the alleged withholding of social assistance funds for the Family Hope Program (PKH) were examined by the Probolinggo Police, East Java. They took turns being questioned in the Corruption Crime Unit (Tipikor) room.

Probolinggo Police Public Relations Officer, Bripka Mukhtar Yuliharto, said the investigation of the four people was the result of reports from six residents of Randuputih Village, Dringu District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java, some time ago.

Previously, the six people came to the Probolinggo Police Headquarters, East Java, to complain that their PKH funds were allegedly cut by the group leader.

"So we called 4 out of 6 people who complained or reported cases of alleged previous PKH cuts. Their names are kept secret," he explained.

"We also ask for prayers, so that we can optimally eradicate crime. Both cases of corruption or other crimes in Probolinggo," continued Mukhtar.

As previously reported, six residents of Randuputih Village, Dringu District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java came to the Probolinggo Police Station. They complained to the head of a group in their village for allegedly cutting off the Family Hope Program (PKH) aid fund.

Husnawiyah, one of the residents, said that the PKH funding cut by the village group leader had been going on since 2020. However, he and 5 other people only found out about it now.

Residents only found out about the deduction after receiving a copy of the print out from the bank regarding the amount of funds in the ATM that did not match the amount they received.

"Every disbursement I should have received Rp 975 thousand, but only Rp 700 thousand, sometimes I get Rp 800 thousand," said Husnawiyah, Thursday, October 7.

The PKH ATM obtained was indeed held by himself. However, when it was close to disbursement, the card was taken by the group leader, and then disbursed.

"With this report, we hope that the police can investigate this case, down to its roots," he hoped.
