PAN's Eyes On Khofifah In The 2024 Presidential Election, Survey Proves 82.8 Percent Of East Java Residents Are Satisfied With The Performance Of The First Female Governor

SURABAYA - As many as 82.8 percent of the people of East Java (East Java) are satisfied with the performance of the provincial government led by Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, according to a survey by The Republic Institute.

"From the results of our survey, the satisfaction of the people of East Java with the performance of the governor, namely Ms. Khofifah Indar Parawansa, is 82.8 percent. This satisfaction concerns what people feel about the government's performance," said Director of The Republic Institute Sufiyanto in Surabaya, quoted by Antara, Monday, October 11th.

Sufiyanto explained that the level of performance satisfaction was seen from several indicators presented in the best development evaluation data.

As a result, the people of East Java assessed that education development in the era of Governor Khofifah's leadership was the best, which was 20.4 percent.

Furthermore, which is also considered satisfactory and the best, is the development in the health sector by 16.4 percent. The third best is development in the infrastructure sector by 16.1 percent.

"The community considers development in the fields of education, health and infrastructure in East Java to be very tangible. For example, for education, the development of access to education in several non-formal educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools. The facilities are very well felt by the community," said Sufiyanto.

Likewise in the field of health and infrastructure development, according to him, the community gives an assessment based on the benefits that can be felt related to the availability of facilities in these two fields, especially during the corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic.

On the other hand, continued Sufiyanto, from the results of a survey conducted by The Republic Institute, the people of East Java also have input related to development that still needs attention.

The first is the employment opportunity sector by 22.5 percent, the improvement in commodity product prices by 13.7 percent, and health services by 12.7 percent.

In addition, this survey also captures the opportunities of figures in the upcoming 2024 presidential candidate market.

Respondents assessed that the presidential candidate with the strongest popularity was Prabowo Subianto with a survey result of 98.8 percent.

In second place was the name of the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, with a popularity rate of 97.8 percent.

"But if you look at Prabowo and Khofifah, the level of 'likeability' as a presidential candidate is greater for Khofifah. Khofifah's 'Likeability' is 81.2 percent, while Prabowo is 57.1 percent," said Sufiyanto.

The survey was conducted on 1,225 respondents with the criteria of having the right to vote in the 2018 general election.

"The survey was conducted in the period from September 1 to 13, 2021, using the 'multistage random sampling' method and a 2.8 percent margin of error," he said.
