Are You Tangerang Resident? Until The End Of 2021, Take The Free Public Transportation 'Si Benteng', This Is The Route

TANGERANG - Tangerang City Government, Banten Province through PT. TNG launched the addition of four urban transport corridors (angkot) 'Si Benteng.' There is no need to ask the usual questions, the City Government will make this transportation service free until the end of 2021.

Tangerang Mayor Arief R Wismansyah said the addition of this new corridor was to make it easier for the public to get comfortable and safe mass transportation services. This service also complements the four existing corridors.

People who use the public transportation 'Si Benteng', continued the Mayor, will not be charged. Because the Tangerang City Government will make this service free until the end of the year.

"Please take advantage of this service because we will make it free until the end of the year. If anyone wants to go to school, market or office, they can take Si Benteng," said Arief after the launch of the new corridor at Cimone Terminal in Tangerang, Antara, Monday, October 11.

Present at the launch of the addition of the corridor was the Head of the Transportation Service, Wahyudi, and the Head of the Tangerang City Bappeda, Sugiharto Achmad Bagdja, and the President Director of PT. TNG Edi Chandra.

He also hopes that the people of Tangerang City can take advantage of Si Benteng's urban transportation services in carrying out traveling activities in the Tangerang City area.

"Hopefully this can encourage people to want to use public transportation so that later it can reduce congestion and provide more comfort to the community," he said.

President Director of PT. TNG Edi Candra added that the addition of four new corridors was also accompanied by the availability of fleet units. In total there are 40 units prepared for service in the four new corridors.

The four new corridors are the BTN Pasir Jaya Housing - Gor Gabdasari, Cimone Terminal - Koang Jaya, Cimone Terminal - Dipatiunus Street - Ganda Sari Street, Cimone Terminal - Gor Pabuaran Tumpeng.

Meanwhile, the four corridors that are already operating are Cibodas Park-Situ Bulakan, Gandasari-Gajah Tunggal, Gajah Tunggal-Kampung Ledug and Cimone Terminal-Pasar Lama.
