Bring Machete, Peter Fails To Rape Doctor And Escapes To Forest Around PLTU Rote

KUPANG - The Rote Ndao Resort Police arrested Peter Muskanan (26), and attempted rape of a doctor in Rote Ndao, the southernmost district of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province.

The Head of Public Relations of the Rote Police, Ndao Aiptu Anam Nurcahyo, said that the perpetrator was arrested after about four months of searching and chasing the person concerned.

"We arrested the culprit on Friday, October 8, at Hansisi Harbor, North Semau District, Kupang Regency while dropping off his family", Anam said in Kupang, quoted by Antara, Saturday, October 9.

Anam said that after the perpetrator carried out his actions and had assaulted the victim, a doctor with the initials LB last June, the perpetrator hid in the forest around the Central Rote PLTU (Electric steam power plant) for about a week.

Then feeling safe, the perpetrator then left for Kupang by using a sea ferry to Kupang and then immediately crossed to Semau Island, precisely in Kaun, Hanisis Village, North Semau District, Kupang Regency. This is where he was arrested.

After being arrested, the perpetrator was then detained at the Alak Police Headquarters in Kupang City and this Saturday was taken to the Rote Ndao Police Station for processing by applicable laws.

Previously, last June there was an attempted rape of a doctor on duty in Rote Ndao by a perpetrator named Peter. Muskanan.

The perpetrator entered the victim's house by passing through the window carrying a machete and immediately ambushing the sleeping victim.

"The perpetrator had threatened to kill the victim with a machete if the victim did anything suspicious. Feeling threatened, the victim screamed", said Anam.

Due to panic with the victim's screams, the perpetrator then fled and hid in the forest in the district.
