Caught Stealing 10 Gas Cylinders, Teenagers In Buleleng Belur Beaten By Masses

BULELENG - A teenager with the initials DE (17) was caught by a resident while stealing an LPG gas cylinder in Lemukih Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency, Bali. He was beaten by the mob.

"His modus operandi is to take the gas cylinders first, one by one and collect them somewhere, then take them and sell them," said Head of Public Relations of the Buleleng Police, Iptu I Gede Sumarjaya, Thursday, October 7.

According to the police, the perpetrator was beaten by the crowd. The motor was also damaged. Bhabinkamtibmas officers and pecalang won over the residents until the perpetrators were finally arrested by the police.

The theft was discovered when the victim named Gedee Kartama woke up in the early hours of the morning hearing a commotion from outside the house.

When they came out of the house, they found that they had caught the thief. The victim returned home and found the gas cylinder beside his shop had disappeared which was later found to have been stolen by the perpetrator.

"Finally, residents helped look for the victim's gas cylinder and found 4 gas cylinders on the side of the highway 100 meters from the victim's house and 5 gas cylinders next to the victim 10 meters away," said Sumarjaya.

The evidence that was secured was 10 3 kg LPG gas cylinders. The perpetrator is known to have acted with his friend but escaped when caught by residents.
