JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that there are many potential human resources (HR) in Papua and West Papua that have not been explored and developed properly.

This was conveyed by him while reviewing the Groundbreaking of the Papua Youth Creative Hub in Jayapura, Papua on Saturday, October 2. This activity was carried out in a series of working visits by President Jokowi before opening the XX Papua PON tonight.

"I believe there is still a lot of unexplored and undeveloped potential. That is our task, both in Papua and West Papua", Jokowi said, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube show.

These superior seeds with the best talents in various fields such as science, culture, and sports should receive more attention. "And this is a big task for all of us to prepare good management, good talent management, and order", said the former Governor of DKI Jakarta.

In addition to preparing good talent management, the Papua Youth Creative Hub, which is still being built, is expected to be the answer to utilizing HR talent in Papua and West Papua. Later, said Jokowi, this place could be used to gather and become a gathering center for creative young people to take advantage of their talents.

Moreover, in this place, there will be many facilities consisting of co-working spaces, digital technology learning rooms, content rooms, as well as dormitories, and sports facilities.

"I think it is very integrated and we really hope that this place will become a foundation for the future of Papua and the future of Indonesia in the future, as well as in starting to build startup companies from the Land of Papua which is great", said Jokowi.

In addition, he also hopes that from this place there will be many young entrepreneurs engaged in various fields, including millennial farmers and fishermen as the future of Papua.

"I think this is the future for all of us. The future of Indonesia, the future of Papua is in the Papua Creative Hub, which we hope will be completed by the end of 2022, the institutions will be ready, and we hope that very soon we can actually develop human resources. in the land of Papua that we love", he concluded.
