JAKARTA - A total of 20 tourist attractions in Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, received a QR Code of the PeduliLindung application from the Ministry of Health, so that it becomes a provision for the trial of opening a tourist attraction if it is carried out.

Secretary of the Gunungkidul Tourism Office, Hary Sukmono in Gunungkidul, Friday, said the PeduliLindung application is not a problem because there are 20 tourist sites that are subject to fees and have received QR codes for scanning in application operations.

"The scanning codes installed at tourist sites are different. For example, in the tourist areas of Baron to Seruni Beach, eight points are installed. Meanwhile, in the Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano area, there are six QR codes. In total there are 57 QR codes spread over 20 tourist sites", Hary said as reported by Antara, Friday, October 1.

He said that in addition to the QR code for the PeduliLindung application, tourism managers also applied for CHSE certification (certificates to Tourism Businesses, Tourism Destinations, and Tourism Products). There are about 40 destinations that apply for the issuance of this certification. Currently, the assessor team is also conducting field verification related to the issuance of the CHSE certificate which is a prerequisite for opening tours in a number of destinations.

The field verification process has started since Thursday, September 30 and will be scheduled for the next few days in a number of destinations. Today the checks were carried out in the Baron and Kalisuci Beach areas.

"The CHSE certification is still in process because it has to go through field checks. Hopefully it will run smoothly and tourist destinations can be opened gradually", he said.

However, Hary could not confirm when the trial implementation of the opening of the tourism object would be because it was still waiting for a decision from the Central Government. However, preparations continue to be made by completing various requirements so that the destination can be re-opened.

Meanwhile, the tourism manager for Embung Batara Sriten in Pilangrejo Village, Nglipar Radato District, said the reopening of tourist destinations had tried to meet the required requirements. Until now, the Embung Sriten tourist attraction has received a QR code for the PeduliLindung application.

"The QR code has been obtained and now the focus is on getting CHSE certification. Based on information from the Tourism Office, the CHSE certificate is still in process. We hope that CHSE certification can be obtained so that tourist destinations can reopen", he said.
