"According to the direction of the Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Task Force, we will review PTM at the elementary level. We will again select which schools are ready to carry out limited PTM with strict health protocols", said Head of the Tangerang Regency Education and Culture Office, Syaifullah, in Tangerang, reported by Antara, Friday, October 1.
He said the reason for reviewing the implementation of PTM at the elementary level was after seeing the latest developments in school cluster COVID-19 transmission cases that occurred in recent weeks.
"So, the consideration is after seeing cases that occurred in several areas, including the latest one in Tangerang, where there was a PTM cluster. So, we had to review PTM in SD", he said.
However, if there are schools that are ready and meet the regulatory requirements of the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture, his party will allow the school to carry out limited PTM activities.
"For now, each school must fill out a form by the regulations of the Minister of Education and Culture, later we will directly check its readiness, whether it is by the health protocol or not", he said.
