PROBOLINGGO - Siti Maimunah (31) is suspected of being burned by her husband in Krajan Hamlet, Tongas District, Probolinggo, East Java. Siti suffered serious burns, while her daughter also suffered burns to his legs.

According to the information gathered, the incident began when Siti was riding with her daughter, riding a Honda Beat N5574 XW motorcycle. However, Siti's husband, with the initials A, followed behind.

Arriving at the location, the two got into an argument and got into an argument. Feeling emotional, Adi immediately poured the gasoline stored in the bottle into Siti's body.

Not only pouring gasoline, but Adi also ignites a fire in Siti's body, thus setting Siti on fire. Not only Siti, her daughter, who was also splashed with gasoline, also suffered burns.

Sohib, a resident, said that at that time he heard the sound of bickering on the local hamlet road. But soon the bickering turned into a hysterical scream for help.

"Hearing the screams, I immediately ran out of the house, when I arrived I was shocked. How come there were women on fire, there were also small children running for help", he told reporters, Thursday, September 30.

Locals who knew about the incident helped the victim to put out the fire. Not only Siti, the motor that also caught fire could only be extinguished about 15 minutes later.

"The woman was weak and lying on the side of the road, she suffered severe burns. The child had burns on her leg", said Sohib.

After the fire was extinguished, a resident asked the victim's child. The victim's daughter said the culprit was her own father.

"After burning his wife and children, the perpetrator fled to his house to get a car. It seemed like he wanted to run away. But the residents first secured him", said another resident, Suhan.

Siti and her child were taken to Grati Hospital. Meanwhile, the burning motorbike was handed over to the Tongas Police. Police are still investigating the motive behind the burning of his wife.
