Inaugurating Tebet-Palmerah Station Arrangement, Anies Wants Residents To Say, 'Alhamdulillah, We Lucky Living In Jakarta'

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, Minister of SOE, Erick Thohir, and Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, inaugurated the integration of Jabodetabek transportation as well as the arrangement of Tebet and Palmerah Stations.

The arrangement of these two stations is the arrangement of the fifth and sixth modes of transportation carried out in Jakarta.

"This event is monumental, not only as a stepping stone for better transportation services, but also to prove that if the collaboration is done seriously, the benefits will be greatly felt by the community", said Anies at the location, Wednesday, September 29.

During the inauguration, Anies hoped that this effort would make Jakarta equal to other developed cities in the world. He wants the improvement of public facilities to make citizens proud to live in Jakarta.

"We often tell our friends in the ranks. We can be proud of these statistics and show them. But the most important thing is that people can say this, 'Thank God, it's good to live in Jakarta'", said Anies.

Anies hopes that the integration of various transportations in Jakarta will make Jakartans increasingly choose to use public transportation rationally because it is affordable, both in terms of route, cost, and time spent traveling.

"We hope that with this integration, more residents feel that taking public transportation is a rational choice, because it is affordable in terms of distance, cost, predictable in time, and can be while doing other activities, so that taking public transportation we will be more productive", he added.

On that occasion, Anies also carried out a soft launch of the ticketing system and the JakLingko SuperApp. He said that the JakLingko SuperApp provides different prices for passengers who have served in Jakarta, for example, veterans, retirees, students, and so on.

"It can be given a cheaper price. So, public transport is not just moving us to another place, but also as a symbol of this city giving awards to people who have contributed", he added.
