JAKARTA - The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Central Executive Board (DPP) has dismissed DKI Regional Representative Council (DPRD) member Viani Limardi from her party membership. Her dismissal letter was sent since September 25, 2021.

PSI Party said that her party would immediately send a letter of dismissal to the leadership of the DKI DPRD. However, until now the Secretariat of the DKI DPRD has not received the letter.

"The letter (of Viani's dismissal) has not yet been received by the DPRD Secretariat. Before we went to the leadership, the letter was received by us first. So, the Chairman (DPRD) has not received the letter either," said Acting Secretary of the DPRD DKI Augustinus when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, September 29.

Augustinus said that if the Chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, had received the letter, it did not mean that Viani would automatically no longer be a member of the DKI DPRD. He said that there is still an administrative process that must be passed before Viani leaves her position.

"Currently still working. Her status is still a member of the council," said Augustine.

Augustinus explained that when the letter of dismissal was received by the DPRD. Prasetyo will send a letter to the DKI Jakarta Provincial General Election Commission (KPU).

At the KPU, Prasetyo asked for the results of the 2019 Legislative Election (Pileg) vote recapitulation to determine Viani's replacement for DPRD members. Substitute names are determined from the candidates for legislative members who have the most votes after the currently elected legislative members.

After that, Prasetyo will write to DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan for the interim replacement (PAW) of DPRD members. Then, Anies will write to the Minister of Home Affairs to issue a decree (SK) to change his board members.

"The ending is in the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs. That is only valid and can be replaced. As long as there is no decree from the Minister of Home Affairs, his status is still as a member of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD and a member of the PSI faction," explained Augustinus.

Previously, the Chairperson of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) DPP Isyana Bagoes Oka said that his party would immediately send a letter to dismiss Viani Limardi as a member of the DKI DPRD from the PSI faction to the Chairperson of the DKI DPRD.

"We have taken the decision to dismiss Sis Viani from party membership. In accordance with applicable procedures, PSI will immediately send a letter to the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD regarding this matter," said Isyana.

Isyana explained that PSI had gone through a long process before finally firing Viani. The process begins with the evaluation of the DKI Jakarta PSI DPW, the Directorate of Faction Development and PSI Legislative Members, the Fact Finding Team (TPF), and finally the PSI DPP.

“TPF has also officially summoned Sis Viani Limardi. In the session, the person concerned was given ample opportunity to submit answers and rebuttals to TPF's questions," said Isyana.

From the evaluation results, Isyana stated that Viani was no longer in line with the party's vision and mission and was proven to have violated the party's Statutes and bylaws (AD/ART), namely being obedient and loyal to the struggle line, AD/ART and party decisions.
