2 Years Journey Of A Rented Guard Couple Selling Dried Marijuana, Anchored In Iron Bars

JAKARTA - A (35) and F (30), a married couple residents of Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, are desperate to distribute ready-to-use dried marijuana. The couple, whose daily lives are rented guards, are forced to deal with the police for violating the law.

The Head of Kebon Jeruk Police, Kompol Slamet Riyadi said, from the hands of the two perpetrators confiscated evidence of dry marijuana weighing 1.5 kilograms. The marijuana was broken up into 20 packages of marijuana ready for distribution wrapped in brown paper.

"The marijuana was stored in a black suitcase and one package of marijuana weighing 885 grams wrapped in black plastic and 470 grams of marijuana wrapped in brown duct tape. All of them were used as evidence belonging to the husband and wife", the police chief told VOI, Tuesday 28 September, afternoon.

Meanwhile, from the suspect's confession to the police, they have been circulating marijuana for 2 years. Sales also vary with various packages of marijuana.

"The perpetrators sold the drugs varied, ranging from IDR 500 thousand to IDR 1 million per retailer", said the police chief.

In their action, this marijuana dealer couple has a fairly extensive network. They often transact in large quantities to buyers.

"The suspect took 40 kilograms of marijuana-type narcotics. When we were arrested, we only confiscated 1.5 kilograms of leftover marijuana that had not been sold", he said.

To account for his actions, the perpetrators were charged with 114 Paragraph (2) Sub 111 Paragraph (2) UURI No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. The perpetrators face up to 20 years in prison, life imprisonment, and the death penalty.
