JAKARTA - Head of Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin said that there were around 27 thousand people who had violated the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) rules by not wearing masks when leaving the house.

In this regulation, there are two sanctions for violators who do not wear masks, namely social work cleaning public facilities and infrastructure such as roads, waterways, bus stops, and sidewalks. Then, there is an option to pay a fine of IDR 250 thousand.
"The penalty goes to the regional treasury, is paid through the DKI Bank. The penalty penalty for violating masks that has been paid is Rp330,910,000," said Arifin.
Furthermore, Arifin also said that there were violations imposed on businesses such as restaurants and entertainment venues that had been allowed to open. This business place violates the COVID-19 protocol such as violating 50 percent capacity, and does not apply safe distance for offenders.
"For those who violate, they are subject to a fine of Rp. 10 million. More or less, the total fine that has been paid is Rp. 201 million," said Arifin.

Thus, the total fines collected from transitional PSBB violators that have been running for one and a half months and entered the regional treasury amounted to more than IDR 655 million.
