Considering Illegal, Seven Factions Of DKI DPRD Refuse To Attend Formula E Interpellation Plenary

JAKARTA - Seven factions of the DKI Regional Representative Council (DPRD) have expressed their refusal to attend the plenary meeting to determine the interpellation of Formula E which is planned to be held on Tuesday, September 28 tomorrow.

The seven factions are the Gerindra Party, PKS, PAN, Golkar, Nasdem, Democrats, and PKB-PPP Parties. Deputy Chairman of the DKI DPRD from the Gerindra faction, Mohamad Taufik, emphasized that the seven factions would not attend the plenary meeting because the agenda was considered illegal.

"Seven factions and four deputy chairmen of the DKI DPRD have stated that the plenary meeting held on Tuesday, September 28 is not worth attending because it is an illegal act," Taufik said when met in the Central Jakarta area, Monday, September 27.

The schedule for this interpellation plenary meeting was set in the DKI DPRD Deliberative Body (Bamus) meeting which was held this morning. Taufik said that the Bamus meeting did not initially have an agenda for discussing the plenary schedule for the Formula E interpellation.

In the invitations received by the members, the Deliberation Body (Bamus) meeting only discussed the determination of the schedule for the 2021 Regional Budget (APBD) Amendment General Budget-Priority Policy and Temporary Budget Ceiling (KUA-PPAS), the 2021 APBD Amendment Regional Regulation Draft (Raperda), the third technical guidance in October, working visits in October, annual work plans, socialization of regional regulations, and the Raperda on Utilities.

“For the plenary Bamus, the right to interpellate Formula E is not on the agenda and there is no initials of the Deputy Chairperson of the DKI DPRD. So, the chairman of the DKI DPRD violated the rules that he made himself," said Taufik.

Thus, Taufik considers the Chairman of the Bamus of the DKI DPRD, namely the Chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, to have violated the Rules of Procedure of the DKI DPRD because he suddenly slipped the discussion of the interpellation plenary meeting schedule.

"This is a form of violation of the code of conduct itself. It was the period when the rules were ratified and Pras knocked the hammer. He himself broke it," he concluded.

Previously, the Chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, as well as the Chairman of the Bamus DPRD, said that the interpellation plenary meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.

"After the work plan, proposals, are all discussed, and finished. There are proposals from 2 factions, right because the statute says 15 people are enough for the interpellation, scheduled earlier, it will be approved. Tomorrow is the plenary session," said Prasetyo.

The plenary meeting that will be held tomorrow is to determine whether the DPRD will conduct an interpellation or not. Interpellation is regulated in DKI Jakarta DPRD Regulation Number 1 of 2020, specifically in Chapter VIII concerning the Implementation of the Rights of DPRD and Members of DKI DPRD.

Article 120 explains that the right of interpellation is the right of the DPRD to request information from the governor regarding regional government policies that are important and strategic and have a broad impact on the life of society and the state.
