JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had given time to Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Azis Syamsuddin, to get ready before being picked up by force. This was revealed by the Chairperson of the KPK, Firli Bahuri.

Efforts to force the KPK to pick up Azis Syamsuddin because the Golkar Party politician did not comply with the KPK's summons. Azis Syamsuddin was transported to the KPK after the test results came back negative for COVID-19.

"We invite the person concerned to take a shower and prepare first. While waiting for legal counsel. The antigen swab test is negative," Firli said to the media crew some time ago.

Azis Syamsuddin arrived at the KPK, Friday, September 24. Wearing a yellow shirt, Azis Syamsuddin was immediately questioned by the KPK. That night, Azis Syamsuddin officially became a suspect and was detained by the KPK.

This forced pick-up was compared to the arrest of Munarman, who was a suspect in the alleged terrorism case.

It is known that Munarman was arrested by Densus 88 at his home, in the Pamulang area, South Tangerang, last Tuesday, April 27, for allegedly masterminding terrorism.

Munarman was wearing a white koko shirt and striped pants at the time. While being escorted, he was held by a number of Detachment 88 personnel and taken to a car.

Munarman gave a little resistance. He asked to be allowed to wear sandals. "I wore sandals first, I wore sandals," said Munarman.

However, the officers continued to lead Munarman to the car. The arrest was witnessed by many people.
