Bomb Explodes In A Flowerpot In Jalalabad, Afghanistan

JAKARTA - An explosion occurred in Jalalabad City, the capital of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, on Saturday, September 25. There were no reports of casualties, as reported by local media.

According to local media reports, the homemade bomb was hidden in a flower pot on one of the streets. The bomb went off during rush hour in the morning.

Local security officials have not yet provided a statement. Since Saturday last week a series of bomb explosions rocked the city of Jalalabad.

The hardline Islamic State group has reportedly claimed responsibility for a number of these incidents.
