CIANJUR - Noble intentions are not always supported by sweet facts. This is what happened to Lesi Kuslum (30), a migrant worker from Loneng Village, Mekarjaya Village, Cianjur, West Java.

After arriving in Dubai, Lesi had a terrible accident on her way to her employer's house. His legs are paralyzed and sentenced to memory loss by the doctor who treated him.

Lesi's husband, Yanto Firmanullah (35) said that before leaving he had forbidden his wife and to stay in Cianjur. But Lesi persisted and left for Dubai.

"However, with the intention of changing the family's economy, Lesi was determined to go to Dubai through a labor service company in Jakarta. Arriving in Dubai, she had not had time to work, and had an accident," said Yanto in Cianjur as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 22.

The car his wife was traveling in hit the truck because the driver was sleepy. His beloved wife had to undergo treatment at a hospital in Dubai because the injuries suffered were quite severe.

In fact, said Yanto, Lesi had been in a coma for several months until finally, the doctor sentenced his wife to be paralyzed and lost her memory.

The family who received the news asked the company to return her to Cianjur.

"Since two months ago, my wife was sent home in a paralyzed condition and does not remember anything, we have tried to take her for treatment, but until now, there has been no change. The company's costs are borne by the company," he said.

However, these costs were not enough to take Lesi to a hospital and a therapist, so his party hoped for help from the local and central government, with the hope that his wife would recover as before.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the DPC of the Greater Indonesia Manpower Association (Astakira) Renewal of Cianjur, Ali Hildan, said that his party would seek assistance through the Social Service (Dinsos) because Lesi's departure had been illegal.

"The departure is non-procedural, when an accident occurs, we cannot get insurance, so we will seek from various parties, including from social services in the regions to the center," he said.
