DKI Provincial Government Speeds Up Normalization Of Ciliwung, Cawang Residents Are Not Calm Because 'Haunted' By Land Brokers

JAKARTA – The work on normalizing the Ciliwung River in Cawang Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta to deal with floods that often hit Jakarta continues to be accelerated. In fact, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government plans to liberate the houses of residents along the river in the four RWs in that location.

Cawang Lurah Didik Diarjo said that there are four RWs for which land acquisition will be carried out, namely RW 03, RW 12, RW 05 and RW 08.

"So yesterday we recorded that there were about 300 plots of land (residents) from Gang Arus to Gang Binawan. But later it will develop over time. We'll see how far the inventory from BPN is," he said when confirmed, Tuesday, September 21.

The village head admitted that the residents had received socialization about the river normalization project in the area. Residents already know about it, so no residents refuse to be told to move from their homes.

Furthermore, said the Lurah, regarding the negotiation of land prices there, residents will receive another invitation from the National Land Agency (BPN). This is because his party only focuses on administrative services for land acquisition in the four RWs.

"The land price was negotiated and there is indeed a nominative list that was submitted by the National Land Agency with the Water Resources Service (SDA)," he said.

However, said Didiek, the process of land acquisition and work on the Ciliwung River normalization project is still long. Didik hopes that the land acquisition process until the normalization project work can run smoothly.

Meanwhile, residents in RT 15/03, Cawang Village, Kramat Jati Sub-district, East Jakarta are starting to get more and more anxious about information about the existence of land brokers or brokers. According to information, the brokers charge a service fee discount of 25 percent of the total price of land that the government has acquired for residents' houses.

Fajri as the administrator of RT 015/03, Cawang Village, said that almost 90 percent of the residents in Cawang Village reject the existence of land brokers. Because he judged, the work pattern of land brokers or brokers openly came to people's houses one by one.

Residents began to worry about this condition. Apart from being afraid of the eviction of houses, the appearance of land brokers added to the anxiety of a number of residents.

"Residents here reject the brokers. What is currently making noise is brokers or brokers. Information from the kelurahan is not clear, then suddenly someone comes and takes measurements, while from the kelurahan there is no further information," Fajri told reporters. , Tuesday 21 September.

What makes residents even more worried, the broker said that the administrative settlement is in the middle of December 2021.

"So the people here are panicking, we as administrators are also confused, that's why yesterday someone came and asked us," he said.

In addition to the brokers of eviction land, residents are also worried about the unclear measurement line limits for the acquisition. Because according to Fajri, the river normalization alignment line keeps changing and the alignment points move.

"There has been no socialization of the new measurements, if the old point is 15 meters from the river's edge. But yesterday the natural resources said they were exhausted (all houses in RT 15/03) were finished," he said.
