Deadly Accident In Slipi, Truck Driver Arrested, Sleepy Is The Cause

JAKARTA - The police are still investigating the cause of the deadly accident that occurred in the Slipi traffic light, West Jakarta. Currently, the truck driver named Ade Zakarsih has been secured.

"That's right, the driver of the freight transport truck has been secured," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Ojo Ruslani to VOI, Tuesday, November 26.

The truck driver explained that he was being investigated intensively regarding the series of deadly accidents.

Especially, taking advantage of the things that caused the truck he was driving to hit six vehicles in front of him.

"It's still being investigated," said Ojo.

Separately, the Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman said that the fatal accident was caused by the negligence of the truck driver.

From the temporary inspection, the truck driver named Ade Zakarsih admitted that he was sleepy while driving.

"As a result of negligence, the driver of this illegal transport was sleepy, so he ran a red light and hit several vehicles, one four-wheeled and six two-wheeled," said Latif.

Meanwhile, as a result of the accident one driver was declared dead. His identity is not yet known.
