BEKASI - A total of 1,266 early childhood education (PAUD) schools in Bekasi City, West Java, plan to hold limited face-to-face learning (PTM) starting Monday, September 20.
"Starting tomorrow, limited PTM for PAUD schools will be held," said Head of the Bekasi City Education Office Inayatullah in Bekasi, West Java, Sunday evening.
He said the 1,266 PAUD had previously applied for limited PTM and his party through the regional supervisor of the education unit had also carried out field verification.
Inay noted that in total there are 1,345 PAUD-level education units in Bekasi City, meaning that 91 percent of them have applied for limited face-to-face learning.
The 1,266 PAUDs, he said, are a combination of kindergartens (TK), play groups (KB), similar PAUD units (SPS), and daycare centers (TPA).
Inay ensured that the implementation of limited PTM for the PAUD level starting tomorrow will take place with the implementation of strict health protocols.
PTM rules are limited to the PAUD level as well as the elementary, junior high, and high school levels, namely following the policy of the central government which has issued a joint decree of four ministers.
"Still, health protocols must be strict during the implementation of limited PTM starting Monday tomorrow for PAUD," he said.
The Bekasi City Education Office has implemented a policy that one PAUD class class can only be filled with a maximum of eight children to make it easier to supervise the implementation of health protocols.
