Malls In Bogor City Are Still Quiet, City Government Discusses Rules For Visitors

BOGOR - The Department of Industry and Trade of the City of Bogor re-discussed the rules for entering malls and shopping centers regarding access requirements for protection and protection for children under 12 years old. Currently, the condition of the mall is still empty of visitors.

Head of the Department of Industry and Trade of the City of Bogor, Ganjar Gunawan, said that visits to all malls, on average, are only around 30 percent to recover the economy during the PPKM level 3 period, compared to during normal situations.

Of the 15 malls in Bogor City, seven large malls are still empty of visitors and open shops.

The seven malls are Botani Square Mall Bogor, Bogor Trade Mall (BTM), Boxes 123 Mall, Transmart Yasmin Bogor, Lippo Keboen Raya, City Plaza, and Bogor Trade World.

"So I said this shopping center is still screaming, it's still going down, there hasn't been a significant increase because it's also opened, right, it's still quite", said Ganjar, quoted by Antara, Friday, September 17.

He hopes that there will be a change in the situation at the PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions) level in Bogor City from level 3 to 2 so that residents will not hesitate to go to malls and other centers of community economic activity.

Ganjar added that the requirements for using the QR barcode for the PeduliLindung application and the rule that children 12 years old were prohibited from entering the mall also made some people confused.

"Moreover, one of the rules for the care to protect application that the public is not ready for, for example to Bogor Trade Mall there is an old cellphone, no credit and so on, that's also a problem, right", he said.

With such a situation, Ganjar conveyed that the Bogor City Government would re-discuss the rules regarding visits to malls so that people also feel that it is not difficult or hassled to go to malls and carry out economic activities.
