The Inn In West Aceh Was Closed By Satpol PP Because It Was Suspected Of Being A Place For Prostitution

JAKARTA - The West Aceh Regency Government (Pemkab) has closed the operation of an inn located on Jalan Gajah Mada, Meulaboh. The inn does not have an official permit from the district government.

"We are closing this because the inn operations do not have an official permit from the local government," said Head of the Civil Service and Wilayatul Hisbah Police Unit, West Aceh Regency, Dodi Bima Saputra, Thursday, September 16 yesterday.

The local government had to close it because so far, after checking, the inn business did not have a business license. In addition, the inn has been suspected of often providing a place for prostitutes, thus contradicting the Regional Regulation (Qanun) concerning the Implementation of Islamic Shari'a in Aceh.

"This seal will only be reopened when the business owner has completed all the permits from the regional government," said Dodi Bima Saputra.

He acknowledged that the closure was carried out as an effort by the regional government to protect the investment made by every business actor, so that the community's economy can continue to run smoothly in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, the closure is to maximize local revenue (PAD) as a source of regional financial revenue, he also said.
