CIREBON - The phenomenon of hundreds of birds falling has occurred again. Once in Bali, now hundreds of birds have been found dead in the parking lot of Cirebon City Hall, Jl Siliwangi Cirebon City, close to a tree. So far, the cause is unknown.

This strange incident is the first time in Cirebon. An officer at Cirebon City Hall, Prasijo Raharjo Utomo, said the birds fell in the morning when it was raining.

“This tree is the exact gathering point for birds. Usually, there are many here,” said Prasijo, quoting Radar Cirebon, Tuesday, September 14.

Parsijo himself did not know exactly what caused the hundreds of sparrows to fall.

"Maybe suddenly it rains, so the bird gets wet and falls," he said.

According to information, some of the fallen birds are still alive. Some fell into the waterways and some in the grass.

Meanwhile, based on weather forecasts based on the impact of heavy rain in the Ciayumajakuning and Sumedang areas, it is valid from September 14 to 15, 2021.

Previously, the same incident also occurred in Gianyar Regency, Bali Province. Hundreds of sparrows fell in the cemetery area.

Bird researcher of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Tri Haryoko MSi, as reported by Kompas, said there were various possibilities that caused the hundreds of sparrows to fall. It could be that the pouring rain was so heavy that the sparrows perched on the trees could not stand it.
