Jokowi: After Vaccination, Students Can Learn Face To Face, As Long As They Are Not At Level 4 PPKM

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said all students could do face-to-face learning at school after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and were not in the level 4 area of the Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

This was conveyed by him during an online conversation with a student from SMA Negeri 2 Pulau Punjung, Dhamasraya, West Sumatra. This interaction occurred when Jokowi reviewed vaccinations at SMAN 1 Kartasura, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, and virtual mass vaccination programs in 10 provinces.

At that time, a student admitted that he was sad and hoped to see his friends at school again after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

"Yes, after being vaccinated, everyone will be able to learn face-to-face as long as they are not at level 4", said Jokowi in response to the student's wishes, as shown on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube broadcast, Monday, September 13.

Jokowi hopes that school principals can hasten face-to-face learning activities after their students receive the COVID-19 vaccine. "Especially for high school, vocational, and junior high schools", said the former governor of DKI Jakarta.

Furthermore, he also asked the regional head to immediately inject the COVID-19 vaccine to the community. If the vaccine runs out, Jokowi even asks regional heads to immediately contact if the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) does not respond immediately.

"If there is a vaccine stock, use it immediately. Give it an injection right away. After asking the Ministry of Health again. If the Ministry of Health doesn't send me calls", he said.

Previously reported, Jokowi started work activities in Central Java by reviewing community vaccinations. Jokowi left for Klaten at around 08.00 a.m. local time from the Agung Building, Yogyakarta Presidential Palace, where he had been staying since last Thursday, September 9.

After reviewing the vaccination in Ngledok Hamlet, Jokowi is also scheduled to review similar vaccination activities in Brontowiryan Hamlet, Ngabeyan Village, Kartasura District, Sukoharjo Regency.

Then, Jokowi visited SMAN 1 Kartasura, Sukoharjo Regency. There, Jokowi will review COVID-19 vaccination activities for students throughout Sukoharjo Regency and greet student vaccination participants in a number of other locations throughout Indonesia via video conference.

Ending his working visit in Central Java Province, Jokowi is scheduled to attend a meeting with the Indonesian State University Chancellor Council (MRPTNI), which is planned to be held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta City.
