Three Bodies Of Tangerang Prison Fire Victims Identified Again

JAKARTA - The bodies of three victims of the Tangerang Class I Correctional Institution (Lapas) fire have been identified by the National Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team. A total of 10 victims have been identified.

"The three of them are 39-year-old Hadi Wijoyo Bin Sri Tunjung Pamungkas, 28-year-old Rocky Purmana Bin Syafrizal, and 28-year-old Pujiyono Bin Mudori," said Head of the Indonesian Center for Automatic Fingerprint Identification System, Brigadier General Hudi Suryanto, quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 12. .

The three bodies were immediately handed over to the joint team of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) which was then handed over to each family.

Hadi Wijoyo's body was identified based on fingerprints, a scar on his right eyebrow, and a tattoo on the back of his left hand. Furthermore, the body was handed over to the victim's family and buried today at the Leuwiliang Public Cemetery (TPU) Bogor.

The second body of Pujiyono's name was identified based on Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid (DNA) which is similar to the victim's father as well as medical records in the form of tattoos on his back and dental information. After being handed over to the family, the body will be buried at the Sindang Tengah TPU, Tangerang.

Finally, Rocky Purmana's body was identified based on DNA, which is 50 percent identical to the victim's father and 50 percent identical to his mother. In addition, it is also strengthened through the victim's medical record, namely height and dental information.

The Citayam Kampung Utan resident will be buried on Monday, September 13 at the Kampung Kandang Ragunan TPU.

Brigadier General Hudi Suryanto said of the victims who died as a result of the prison fire, a total of 10 ante mortem data had been received by his party for identification purposes.

"We have received complete antemortem data for 41, including DNA data for foreign prisoners from the Directorate General of Corrections," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Prisoners' Development and Production Work Training of the Directorate General of Corrections, Kemenkumham, Thurman Hutapea emphasized that the joint team formed by the ministry was fully responsible for the entire process up to the funeral of the victim.

Each victim's family will be given compensation of Rp. 30 million and funeral expenses of Rp. 6.5 million, which will be provided by a joint team from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

Regarding the development of the Tangerang Class I prison fire case, the Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, said that the handling of the case was in the investigation stage.

The case is related to Article 187 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) regarding intentional acts, Article 188 of the Criminal Code regarding negligence in endangering goods, and Article 359 of the Criminal Code regarding negligence.

"23 people are being investigated along with evidence such as cables, guard books and others," said Rusdi.
