The Condition Of The Boy In Gowa Whose Eyes Were Gouged Out Gradually Improved

MAKASSAR - The Head of the Health Expert Team for the South Sulawesi Provincial Government, Prof. Dr. Budu PhD, SpM (K) said that the condition of the boy AP (6), a victim of abuse by his own parents in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, is gradually improving.

Prof. Budu, who is also the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, said that at the direction of the Acting Governor, he had seen firsthand the condition of the AP boy.

"Yesterday I came and saw AP's condition at the Sheikh Yusuf Hospital. Alhamdulillah, his eye condition is getting better. His vision is good, the swelling around the eyes has decreased," he said in Makassar, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 8.

He admitted that he would continue to monitor the development of AP's health. In terms of monitoring the development of AP's health, Prof. Budu was accompanied by his professional colleagues, an ophthalmologist at Syekh Yusuf Gowa Hospital, Dr Yusuf Bachmid and Dr Yuyun Gobel SpM.

While the psychological assistance, Prof. Budu was accompanied and assisted by Dr. Iwan Honest Sp KJ. "God willing, I monitor every day," explained the Ophthalmologist and Consultant.

Meanwhile, South Sulawesi Acting Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman said it was necessary to oversee developments for health and psychological recovery for AP.

"It is necessary to work together to help Ananda AP recover and return to activities like children his age and not disturb the child's psyche," he said.

Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, gave serious attention to a six-year-old girl who was the victim of alleged abuse by her parents in Gowa Regency, with the initials AP.

Previously, he came to visit the boy who was being treated at the Sheikh Yusuf Hospital.

Even his wife, Naoemi Octarina who is also the Acting Head of the South Sulawesi PKK Mobilization Team, came to visit with a number of gifts given to AP to help treat the trauma suffered by AP.
