SPIN Survey: Society Values Government Performance In Handling The Pandemic Good

JAKARTA - The survey institute from the Indonesian Survey & Polling (SPIN) surveyed the performance of the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the majority of people still think that the government's handling of the pandemic is still very good.

"Some respondents, an aggregate of 46.6 percent responded positively to the government's performance", said Director of SPIN, Igor Dirgantara, in the online release of the Findings of the 2024 Election Figures National Electability Survey online, Wednesday, September 8.

According to Igor, this result is a very good form of achievement in the context of performance. Because, he said, without much need for imaging such as the installation of billboards, the government's performance is still seen by the public as very good.

Even so, Igor said there was still 24 percent of respondents who answered negatively about the government's performance in dealing with the pandemic.

"Meanwhile, 27.7 percent of respondents did not see any change in performance in dealing with the pandemic over the last 2 years", he explained.

This survey involved 1670 respondents in the age category above 17 years and was held on 7-21 August 2021.

The technique used in this survey is Multistage Random Sampling with a margin of error of approximately 2.4 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
