PROBOLINGGO - The house belonging to Sayap (70), a resident of Muneng Kidul Village, Sumberasih District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java, was attacked by robbers. The robbers brought property estimated at a total of IDR 500 million.

The victim's assistant, Maryam (30) said the robbery occurred at around 02.00 WIB in the morning. Just then, he woke up from his sleep after hearing a noise downstairs. Feeling something odd, Maryam went to the source of the sound.

"When I saw it, there were five people downstairs, and they entered my employer's room. They were wearing masks", he said, Wednesday, September 8.

But at that time, Maryam admitted that she did not dare to approach, because these people were carrying sharp weapons. She only approached her master after the herd of people was seen leaving. It turned out that the robber had tied his hands and taped her employer's mouth.

Wings also conveyed the same thing. He said that after being tied up and taped to his mouth, the gang of robbers, estimated to be 5 people, immediately took his wife's money and jewelry.

"The total loss is around IDR 500 million. They (robbers, ed) entered the house by breaking through the back wall, CCTV was also damaged", said Sayap.

Meanwhile, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Probolinggo City Police, East Java, AKP Teddy Tridani said his party was investigating this robbery.

"From the crime scene, we found a number of pieces of evidence, at this time we are still asking for information from the owner and other witnesses regarding this robbery", he explained.

From temporary information, the robbers brought IDR 200 million in cash, gold jewelry, laptops and other valuables.
