JAKARTA - KAI Commuter has begun to apply vaccination certificates as a condition for passengers to use KRL.
This follows the Addendum to the Circular Letter of the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 Number 17 of 2021 concerning Changes to Travel Provisions for Domestic People During the CCOVID-19 Pandemic.
Vaccine certificates as a condition for using KRL are valid for the Jabodetabek Commuter Line KRL, Yogyakarta-Solo KRL, Prambanan Express (Kutoarjo-Yogyakarta round-trip) KRL, and Local Trains operated by KAI Commuter.
"The requirements for this vaccine certificate will come into effect on Wednesday, September 8, 2021", said VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Anne Purba in her statement, Wednesday, September 8.
Even though the vaccination requirements have been applied, KRL passengers can still use a worker registration certificate (STRP) until Friday, September 10, 2021.
From today to Friday, KAI is still implementing a transition period and socializing the requirements for vaccination certificates. Thus, the requirements for travel documents in the form of STRP and other certificates are still acceptable.
KAI Commuter still urges users to be prepared with a vaccine certificate and from Saturday they must show it to officers.
"Furthermore, starting Saturday, September 11, travel documents, namely STRP, letter of assignment, work certificate, or letter from the local government are no longer valid as a requirement to take the KRL because they must show a vaccine certificate", said Anne.

Especially for users who want to use the PeduliLindungi application, Anne asked to download the application before arriving at the station and make sure the application on the cellphone can function normally when scanning the QR code.
If the vaccination requirements are appropriate, you will see a green color when checking in. Arriving at the destination station, users do not need to check out.
Then, users who have not been vaccinated for medical reasons, such as COVID-19 survivors, can show an official certificate from a doctor at the public health center (puskesmas) or hospital regarding their condition. With the appropriate certificate, these users can still use KRL services.
KAI Commuter operations and services run normally with 983 trips per day starting at 04.00 a.m. - 22.00 p.m. local time.
