2 Stages Of Crowd Free Night Policy In Jakarta That The Public Needs To Know

JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya has implemented a Crowd Free Night (CFN) policy during PPKM level 3 to limit crowds. In its implementation, it will go through two stages.

The first stage, with a filtering scheme or selective vehicle screening. This means that only certain vehicles are allowed to pass at the four points of application of the policy.

"In its implementation, we divide it into two stages. First at 22.00 to 00.00 WIB, we call it selective filtering," said Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Tuesday, September 7.

Some vehicles that are not allowed to pass include noisy exhaust communities and others. In essence, anything that is considered to have the potential to cause a crowd will be banned.

The second stage is referred to as strict filtering. At this stage all vehicles are not allowed to pass.

However, there are several categories of vehicles that are allowed to pass, such as ambulances and so on. This second stage will take effect from 00.00 to 04.00 WIB.

"What we allow through is only emergency, hotel guests and people who live or residents in the area," said Sambodo.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya would implement a Crowd Free Night (CFN) policy during the PPKM level 3. This policy is to anticipate crowds that occur at night.

There are four locations where CFN will be implemented, including Kemang, Sudirman, Thamrin and the SCBD area.

In this policy, officers will patrol and block these points. This policy also comes into effect from 00.00 to 04.00 WIB on every weekend, namely Friday and Saturday nights.
