JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, supports the application of fines for odd-even violators on three main roads in DKI Jakarta. Riza assessed that it was time for discipline to be carried out.

"Odd and even started a few weeks ago. I think we have to discipline people who violate and are undisciplined," said Riza at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, September 1.

Riza considers that the legal action taken by the Polda Metro Jaya Korlantas and the Department of Transportation to suppress mobility in Jakarta is appropriate.

"There are rules, there are rewards and punishments. Of course we support fines for anyone who violates traffic rules," he said.

The enforcement of fines for odd-even violators has taken effect as of today. Enforcement is carried out in two ways, namely manually and electronically or e-TLE.

"The legal action that we are taking will certainly be carried out in two ways, namely by using e-TLE violations and by using a manual ticket," said Director of Traffic and Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo.

For manual action, officers will take direct action against violators. Then, the violator's data will be synchronized with the e-TLE data to send evidence of the violation.

"If there is an odd-even violator who is caught by the officer, later if he has been fined manually, of course we have sent an e-TLE ticket," said Sambodo.

As for the electronic ticket with the existing scheme. This means that the e-TLE camera will automatically record the license plate number of the violating vehicle.

"But if we look at the data, he was not ticketed manually but captured by e-TLE, then we will send the captured results to the violators as evidence for odd-even violations," said Sambodo.

On the other hand, Sambodo said the use of the two enforcement patterns was because the three odd-even areas were not fully installed with e-TLE cameras. So, to monitor the violators, it was decided to take action manually.
