1,000 IKM Actors In Sleman Regency Injected Second Dose Of COVID Vaccine

SLEMAN - As many as 1,000 small and medium industry players (IKM) in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region underwent the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination organized by the Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda). Vaccination is located in the yard of the Dekranasda Sleman Building, Wednesday, September 1.

"Today, 1,000 IKM players in Sleman have been completely vaccinated against the second dose of COVID-19 at the Dekranasda Sleman building," said Head of the Sleman Dekranasda Sri Purnomo as quoted by Antara.

If you look at the number of IKM vaccine recipients in Sleman, of course, it is still far from being achieved. Because the number of SMEs in Sleman reaches tens of thousands.

"But we continue to try to support the government in accelerating this vaccination. Hopefully more and more other SMEs will be vaccinated so that the economy can run optimally," he said.

He said the vaccination was to support the accelerated COVID-19 vaccination program in Sleman so that IKM players could improve the economic sector again amid the pandemic.

"Dekranasda Sleman has members from industrial centers, hopefully with this vaccination, industry players can get up and start economic activity," he said.

He hopes that people who have received the vaccine will continue to apply the Health protocol by wearing masks, keeping a distance and washing their hands regularly.

The Head of the Industry and Trade Office (Disperindag) of Sleman Regency, Mae Rusmi Suryaningsih, added that there were 17 thousand SMEs in Sleman Regency.

"Currently 1,000 people have been vaccinated, these are the ones who previously had the first dose of vaccination held by Dekranasda Sleman some time ago," he said.

He said that in the future the Sleman Industry and Trade Department in collaboration with each Kapanewon (sub-district) will target 3,000 to 5,000 IKM actors, then the rest of them have been registered at health facilities (faskes) in their respective regions.

"Through this mass COVID-19 vaccination activity, it is hoped that it will provide security for business actors in carrying out daily economic activities during the pandemic," he said.
