JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz has finally officially launched the latest generation of the long-awaited CLA series. The car features various changes and the presence of advanced technology, but still maintains its compact dimensions.

Reporting from Carscoops, Friday, March 14, this third generation CLA has a pure electric variant (EV) with a luminous face panel from the ministar emblem of 142 logos emitted in its front facilities.

The German manufacturer also added dimensions to the latest CLA with a length of 4,722 mm or an increase of 41 mm and a wheelbase of 2,789 mm, up 61 mm, thus providing a little more space on the front legs. However, the back seat was designed narrower to 835 mm.

Mercedes-Benz CLA is now here with a wide selection of rims ranging from 17 to 19 inches designed more aerodynamically. The sedan has a number of offers for AMG Line, AMG Line Plus, and Night packages.

In the cabin, this car has a minimal appearance with an MBUX Superscreen display consisting of a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch infotainment system, and a 14-inch front passenger screen.

Mercedes-Benz CLA comes in the CLA 250+ with EQ Technology and CLA 350 4 Matic EQ Technology variants, which offer their respective performances and advantages.

In the CLA 250+ with EQ Technology type, it offers an electric motor measuring 268 hp and a 335 Nm torque that gives an acceleration push from 0 to 96 km/h in 6.6 seconds and can run at the highest speed of up to 209 km/hour.

Speaking of distance, the variant can provide a range of 694-792 km according to the WLTP cycle.

Then, the CLA 350 with EQ Technology type has better performance by relying on a dual electric motor with a total power of 349 hp and a torque of 515 Nm. This can give him acceleration from 0 to 96 km/hour in 4.8 seconds and a distance of 672-771 km.

The manufacturer also confirmed that the hybrid version of the CLA will also be present, which is estimated to use a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder machine in synergy with a 1.3 kWh battery and an electric motor.
