DEPOK – NA's patience is lost because he is often a victim of extortion by thugs in Depok, West Java. The 15-year-old man tried to stab Jumadi (36) with a knife often used to peel guava fruit.

The incident occurred on Abdul Wahab Street, Sawangan, Depok. The Head of Criminal Investigation at the Sawangan Metro Police, Iptu Hakim Dalimonte, said that the incident began when NA was selling fruit when suddenly Jumadi and his colleague, named Hadi, came to ask for security money.

"When Jumadi asked for security money there was an argument with NA. A commotion was inevitable until finally NA, who is a fruit seller, stabbed him with a knife", he told reporters, Monday, August 30, afternoon.

The victim, said Iptu Hakim, received a severe wound to his stomach from a stab wound. Jumadi was then taken to a nearby hospital by his colleague.

"Jumadi was immediately helped by his colleague to the nearest hospital", he said.

Iptu Hakim added that after NA stabbed his victim he tried to run away. However, residents who saw the incident immediately secured NA to be handed over to the Sawangan Metro Police.

"The perpetrator has been arrested, but the perpetrator is still a minor, the perpetrator may be diverted, but we will see first from the results of the examination process", he said.
