The TNI Responsible For Education Costs For 2 Children Victims Of Item Bridge, Family: Asking For Black On White

JAKARTA - Saunan (61), the father of the late Alfi Maryansyah, is grateful that the TNI is willing to take responsibility for the accident that killed his son.

According to him, for now, assistance from the TNI is in the form of covering funeral costs and tahlilan events for the next week.

"This is just to help with funerals and snacks. There will also be seven days of tahlilan (financed)," he told reporters at the Rawa Bunga TPU, East Jakarta, Monday 30 August.

On the other hand, the compensation for the cost of education for the two children of the late Alfi, who is currently still in elementary school, said Saunan, is still in the form of verbal only, there is no written agreement.

"I already had a conversation, but the general said 'yes, I'll be ready to help' later, we'll just ask in black and white, if it's just verbal, there's no certainty," he said.

Previously, it was reported that an official TNI car hit street vendors (PKL) at the Item Bridge flea market, Jalan Jatinegara Timur II, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Sunday, August 29, evening.

As a result of the accident, at least 3 traders suffered severe injuries all over their bodies and were hit hard. Two of the victims were husband and wife, they were named Alfi Maryansyah and Nita Trismaya.

After undergoing treatment at Premier Hospital, Alfi Maryansyah's life could not be saved. The victim breathed his last after undergoing medical treatment for several hours. Meanwhile, Alfi's wife, Nita Trismaya, is still critical.

Alfi was buried in the Rawa Bunga Public Cemetery (TPU) on Monday, August 30, at around 13.00 WIB.
