Horror! Rizieq Shihab's Sympathizer Was Caught Carrying A Kitchen Knife During A Demonstration

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Metro Police have arrested one person from a mass of supporters of Rizieq Shihab for carrying a sharp weapon, a kitchen knife, during an opinion campaign in the Cempaka Putih area, Central Jakarta.

Initially, dozens of mass sympathizers of Rizieq Shihab from Megamendung, Bogor, West Java, gathered to carry out a "long march" on Jalan Cempaka Putih Raya to oversee the trial of the appeal decision related to the swab test case at the Umm Bogor Hospital with the defendant Rizieq Shihab at the DKI Jakarta High Court.

During the "long march", the police arrested one person suspected of carrying a sharp weapon.

"One person has been arrested and has been taken to the Central Jakarta Polrestro for carrying a sharp weapon," said Head of Criminal Investigation at the Central Jakarta Metro Police Kompol Wisnu Wardana at the location, Monday, August 30.

Vishnu explained that the sharp weapon found was a kitchen knife. Police are still investigating whether the man carrying the sharp weapon was part of the mass supporters of Rizieq Shihab from Mega Mendung, Bogor.

During the protest action on Jalan Cempaka Putih Raya, dozens of people who were moving towards the DKI Jakarta High Court were chased away by the police because they caused a crowd.

Director of Traffic Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol. Sambodo Purnomo Yugo said that today several supporters of Rizieq Shihab attended the court hearing in Cempaka Putih.

"We have asked them to disperse because it is still the PPKM period." said Kombes Pol. Sambodo when met at the location.
