Held Dangdut Party During PPKM, Son Of The Head Of Gading Village Malang Becomes A Suspect

MALANG - The son of the head of Gading Village, Bululawang District, Malang Regency, East Java with the initials Y (30) was named a suspect.

He became a suspect for organizing a dangdut party with a crowd during the implementation of Level 4 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) on August 3.

Dangdut performances are considered to violate the established health protocol guidelines. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the son of this village head even held a dangdut party.

From the viral video, it seems that he is engrossed in dancing on stage with the singer, as well as other crowds around him.

Malang Police Chief, Raden Bagoes Wibisono said that since the discovery of the dangdut party, his party has conducted a case. Dozens of witnesses involved in this event have also been examined.

As a result, Y was proven to have held the event without permission. In addition, also comply with health protocol guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"He was proven to have held the activity without a permit, besides that he also invited a crowd during Level 4 PPKM, where all of that was not allowed. All the elements of the violation already exist”, he said, Monday, August 30.

But the police did not arrest the suspect because the prison term imposed was just under 2 years. "So no arrests were made", he said.

Currently, his party is completing the case title files to be transferred to the Malang Prosecutor's Office. Y is suspected of violating Law No. 6 of 2018 Article 1 regarding Health Quarantine. The penalty is 1 year imprisonment.

“Right now, we are still at the stage of completing the documents and files when the case is being held. Later, when it is done, we will delegate it to the prosecutor's office", concluded Bagoes.
